Are you there world? It’s me, from the 4×6.

Well, okay so my world right now expands as far as you – my classmates and maybe a few family members. You will be the honoured few exposed to my prose. Itty bitty baby steps…

Are you out there? I’m three weeks into my exploration of social media and is it too much?! Too much to keep track of. Too much information! And too much too fast! Always connected!

Three weeks ago my 4×6 included: my 9 to 5 and the chaos of a one-woman show now doing the work of what used to be a five-man team. My 5 to 9 includes one, firsthusband, two kids – for the purpose of this blog, we’ll call ole ’n young. And whatever else is going on that I can fit in – fitness, extended family commitments, ‘Ubering’, cooking, cleaning, candlestick making.

The reality of my world often has my 9 to 5 extending into my 5 to 9. I have missed long weekends, pumpkin carving and most recently spent the evening of Ole’s birthday coding and communicating because somebody else made a mistake. And well, my 5 to 9, my priority and life, overlapping into my work day from online banking, homework, personal calls and drop-off and pick-up arrangements… So yes, I use my 9 to 5 to complete personal business from the comfy comforts of my 4×6. Hey, who doesn’t?
